To get the maximum yield and lifespan out of your fruit fly culture, follow these simple guidelines:
- Temperature: Store the culture at a steady room temperature between 21°C and 26°C. Keep them out of direct sunlight and away from drafty vents.
- Avoid Excess Heat: Do not let the culture exceed 29°C, as extreme heat can sterilize the adults or completely crash the media.
- Humidity: Keep the foam plug securely in the lid. This allows for vital oxygen exchange while locking in the ambient humidity the larvae need to pupate. No additional misting or water is required.
- Feeding Tip: For optimal nutrition, always dust your harvested fruit flies with a high-quality calcium and multivitamin powder immediately before offering them to your pets.

Nice quantity of flies, no dead flies and they seem active and healthy. The containers were nice, clean and well prepared. The only thing I would say is that the fill is a bit tight. Would recommend.
Barely any flies at all and not ready to be producing. Competition has way more flies and is already producing
Please be sure to read the description before ordering. We ship only FRESH cultures. A fresh culture should only consist of approximately 30 mature adult flies on average. Any more flies could potentially crash a culture before it has a chance to produce. More flies will lay more eggs than the culture is designed to handle. In turn the larvae will consume all the food before they can reach their full size and turn into adult flies.
