Genuine Phoenix worms (larvae of the Hermetia illucens, commonly known as Soldier Fly) are an excellent feeder insect from dart frogs to bearded dragons. Contrary to belief Phoenix Worms and Black Soldier Fly Larvae are NOT the same. Phoenix Worms are reared in much different environments than BSFL. Phoenix Worms hold higher levels of Calcium and nutrition. Phoenix Worms also have a much longer shelf life than BSFL.

Love these as they are calcium rich, some feeders are hard to dust, so these are awesome for my dragons diet.

I ordered a small counter for my jumping spider. They were fantastic. Lasted easily over a month and a half when kept in a cool place. Very active and wriggly which my spider loves. Great staple to keep on hand. Price is just fine for me. Will repurchase… going to try mediums.
